Conservative Party Policy and the Constitution

The Constitution and Policy of the Conservative Party of Canada (The Party) is decided upon by the Electoral District Association (EDA) delegates assembled at the biennial National Convention of the Party.

Between conventions ordinary paid up members, through their local EDA Constitution and Policy Committee, are encouraged to express their concerns and ideas on these matters. Your local committee will then process these for approval by the EDA membership before forwarding them to the National committees who then collate and prepare them for consideration by the Convention.

At the Montreal Convention in 2005 we were able to establish, under the Constitution, both a Constitution Committee and a Policy Committee made up of representatives from all the Provinces and Territories. The members of these committees have a wealth of experience in these matters and are dedicated to ensure that the matters brought forward are in the best interests of the wishes expressed by the ordinary (Grass Roots) member.

Submit your ideas and concerns in writing or by e-mail to the party office and they will be given serious consideration by your local committee.

This is YOUR party, this is YOUR opportunity to have YOUR say and make a positive contribution to the future of our great country CANADA.
